Mimics can be tricky to identify in any game, camouflaging themselves equally everyday objects and lying in wait for unsuspecting passersby. In Wytchwood, all the Mimics have disguised themselves as chests. And instead of trying to avert them, you'll have to rails them down and take their Toes.

A quick look at the Grimoire indicates we should be looking for Mimics in the Village or the Marketplace. Although either area will practise, nosotros've had the best luck when searching the Village specifically. Before heading there though, it's best to make certain y'all already have a Skeleton Fundamental. If non, you can craft ane with three Grave Bones, a Mummified Caput, and an Fe Blast.

To identify a Mimic, you can merely audit chests from a distance using your Witch Middle Sense. Since the Village has quite a few chests, you'll probably take to bank check more than one before y'all detect a Mimic. Have note that Mimics will only exist bearded as large chests, not modest ones.

Once you've located a Mimic, taking its Toe is a relatively unproblematic process. First, equip your Skeleton Key. Then, arroyo the Mimic. As soon as you get nearby, the Mimic will spring off the ground and hunt you. Doing this will stun the Mimic, which volition give you a chance to chop it to pieces with your Logger's Hatchet and accept its Toe for yourself.
